In class we’ve been working on analyzing our show and identifying different elements such as beats and overall intentions which has been really interesting to me. For as long as I’ve done theater I don’t think I’ve taken much time to “sit down” with a show and look at my character beyond their movements and where they go on the stage. All of my directors have been more concerned with physical actions and line delivery compared to what’s going on in terms of analysis so this is super exciting to me! I’m looking forward to all that I’m going to learn regarding getting to know my character.
